Black and White - Life 101 lecture

All or nothing, right or wrong, Back and White. Each its own pinnacle of unperverted perfection. Good vs. Evil, Heaven and Hell, Male on Female, Me or You.

Black - In terms of Light Science, Black is the absence of all colors. In Color Theory Black is the culmination of all colors. Black is the color of death and is used to decorate the end of eras. Black cats are bad omens. Black birds entice souls to the great beyond. The Black Forest is a delicious and very unhealthy cake. Black is Dark, intriguing, and Mysterious.

White - In terms of Light Science White is the totality of all color rays combined, while Color Theory claims that white doesn't exist. White is the color of birth and new beginnings. Doves bring forth peace. A snow covered country breeds both exuberance and rejuvenation. My White Cake recipe is named "Simple." White is Bright, interesting, and Obvious.

Each color has its own strengths and weaknesses. Each is completely in charge of its own domain. And still the two are always seen together, their contrast bringing specific specialties to light. As helpful as that is, there seems to be a whole spectrum missing. Black is always but with White, but where did all they Grays go? Black and White are very rare indeed. The world is full of shades of Gray. Very few of us are so pure that we can be either black or white.

While both Black and White are very strong colors and should be awed for their perfection, we have to remember that they would be much less impressive if there was not a world of grays out there. If we were all Black and White how fun would that be? What's the fun of getting mad at Whitey for being so damed white all the time when you yourself are exactly the same? Now being gray, thats fun, because
you will always be Lighter or Darker than the extremes. Not to mention the variations you have to other Grays. When you are whiter than me then I am more mysterious that you. When you are blacker than me then I am purer that you. But its not supposed to be a game of who is better than someone else. We are all unique. Even if all the color drains out of the world we are still people who can hold our own tone. Each of us is special, every shade is important, and while one of two extremes seems very attractive to gravitate toward it is better to stay where it is you belong. Muck around with your fellow grays. Sometimes somethings, while not impossible to achieve, are not meant for you to try to mold yourself into.
